Showcase the Green and Win: ECO Creators Contest – Electric Castle 2018

Update 2: Thank you, all, for the great contest submissions. We have received numerous creative ECO content pieces, so we will need to take a bit more time for the jury to review and select the winners. We will announce the results by the 17th of August, the latest.

Update: for those of you who need more time, we extended the deadline until the 30th of July. We cannot wait to see your eco-creations!

Capture the ECO Program of Electric Castle 2018 in a creative way and share it online to convince as many as possible that a sustainable society needs everyone’s involvement!

You just need to publish your creative content on your Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or personal blog/site and send the link at electriccastle@mainoi.ro together with your contact details until Thursday, 26th of July.

Lead the Scene, Go Green @ Electric Castle 2018

Summer has already made its full presence since about a month now. We can stay out late and we constantly feel the need to eat ice cream.

But most importantly, our minds wander more. We think about dancing our shoes off while our faces are covered in sunshine. Thinking about those blissful moments which we’re gonna experience at Electric Castle 2018.

Of course, we’re all preparing our festival outfits in advance. We’re also thinking ahead of what artists we’re gonna see and making fun “to do” lists.

However, the mindset we bring to Bonțida is most decisive when it comes to the amount of fulfillment we’re gonna get at the end. It’s dandier than any brand new shoes we’re gonna wear. Why?

‘Cause taking care of the Banffy castle and its surroundings is important. Supporting the ECO cause which affects all of us is crucial. Basically, treating the dance-floor with respect and driving eco-responsibility through music is uber cool.

The ECO Program @ Electric Castle 2018

In 2018, MAINOI‘s ECO Program of Electric Castle proudly celebrates 5 years of sustained progress towards implementing sustainability standards at the festival.

We’re still riding along the journey towards creating the most ECO-friendly festival in Romania. Together with Lidl, we are continuing the #ZeroWaste mission, our long-term objective to reduce, reuse and recycle all the waste generated during the festival.

Last year, when we launched the #ZeroWaste mission, we managed to recycle 65% of the waste produced. This year we are raising the bar to 75-80% recycling rate.

But, there is a catch: we can only do it with all of you onboard!

Here’s how you can get involved:

Keep the Castle Clean

Everywhere in the festival, you will find recycling stations for recyclables (aluminum, plastic, cardboard, paper) and general trash. Thus, recyclable materials are not being discarded together with the other garbage but will get a chance to a second life.

If you camp, you will receive a disposable green bag for your recyclables and a black bag for your trash; please use the bags accordingly and bring the green bags, full with recyclables, at the ECO Spot, near the Lidl store, to get cool incentives in return.

In addition, as of this year, we will be running the awesome NO STRAW policy, therefore you won’t receive plastic straws with your drink. However, if you insist, biodegradable straws made from 100% compostable materials, will be available for you, at the bars, upon request.

Eco Creators: Showcase the green and win

We have a contest that might really spark your interest!

Help us raise awareness on our eco activities by showing the whole wide online world your perspective about the ECO program. Use either your lens or your writing skills in the most unique and surprising way, and get the chance to win great eco prizes!

We’re expecting images, videos or articles that showcase the sustainability practices you observe at the festival, but we don’t mind if your imagination goes further than that!

You only have to post your creative content on your social network (Facebook, Instagram, blog, etc.) with #ecoec and #zerowaste hashtags, send us the link at electriccastle@mainoi.ro, until 24th of July, and you can win a bicycle, a solar backpack, and other nice props to help you become a legendary EcoCitizen.

ECO Stage: LEAD THE SCENE, GO GREEN

This year you’re going to simultaneously pedal and dance at our ECO Spot, as we are going to set-up the first solar stage ever at a Romanian music festival, by bringing the unique Solar Sound System to the Banffy Castle for your musical delight.

We are welcoming everyone in the camping to enjoy the sounds of our lovely innovative solar stage, located near the Lidl store. The stage runs daily 12h00-20h00 and entirely on solar and kinetic energy produced by you, wonderful electric people, at the bikes installation. ECO Ambassadors by Ciuc Radler 0,0%

One of the most engaging alternative transportation with zero carbon footprint awareness campaign is the ECO Ambassadors, now at its forth edition. 40 cyclists who will hop on their saddles and pedal for more than 250 km to get to the Electric Banffy Castle to promote the idea that cycling should be considered a national objective, being a zero carbon footprint means of transportation.. Greet them at arrival, on Wednesday, at 18h00, at the festival’s entry gate and celebrate together afterwards at the Beer Garden.

ZeroWaste: Concurs ECO Boomerang @EC2017

UPDATE: Suntem încă sub vraja Electric Castle 5, așa că vă mulțumim, în avans, pentru înțelegerea voastră cu privire la faptul că vrem să ne luăm timpul necesar pentru a studia pe îndelete cel mai creativ și ilustrativ video realizat de participanții la concursul Instagram Boomerang Zero Waste. Vom anunța câștigătorul in decursul zilei de 19 iulie.

Concurs “The ECO Boomerang”

Ai ocazia acum să exprimi simultan faptul că îți pasă de natură și faptul că știi să vii cu idei creative! Tot ce trebuie să faci este să creezi un scurt video utilizând aplicația Boomerang, care să te surprindă pe tine și/sau pe prietenii tăi făcând o acțiune de colectare selectivă. Poate fi la fel de simplu ca aruncatul unui chiștoc în coșul de gunoi potrivit, dar contează cum o faci. Video-ul îl postezi pe Instagram cu hashtag-urile #ECZeroWaste, #ElectricKingdom și tag-ul @mainoi_ngo și intri în concursul nostru, ce are ca premiu un solar backpack super cool.

REGULAMENT

ART. 1. ORGANIZATORUL CONCURSULUI

Organizatorul concursului „The ECO Boomerang” (denumit în continuare „Concursul”) este Asociaţia MAINOI, cu sediul social în Braşov, str. Sitarului, nr. 11, bl. C30, sc. A, et. 2, ap. 5, înregistrată la Registrul asociaţiilor şi fundaţiilor ţinut la Judecătoria Braşov la poziţia 96/28.10.2014, cod fiscal numărul RO33934630, având contul numărul RO06RNCB0053144521160001, deschis la banca BCR, reprezentată de Nicoleta Cîrjan, cu funcţia de Președinte, denumit în continuare Organizatorul.

Concursul se va derula cu respectarea prevederilor cuprinse în prezentul regulament (denumit în cele ce urmeaza „Regulamentul”). Termenii și condițiile prezentului Regulament, asa cum sunt prezentate mai jos, sunt obligatorii pentru toți participanții la concurs.

Organizatorul își rezervă dreptul de a modifica Regulamentul, aducând la cunoștință publicului acest fapt.

ART. 2. DURATA ȘI ARIA DE DESFĂȘURARE A CONCURSULUI

Concursul va fi organizat și se va desfășura în perioada 11 iulie-16 iulie 2017 pe https://www.instagram.com/mainoi_ngo/?hl=ro, pagina oficială de Instagram a organizației MAINOI.

ART. 3. DREPTUL DE PARTICIPARE

La Concurs are dreptul să participe orice persoană fizică cu domiciliul în România, care deține brățara de acces la Electric Castle Festival 2017. Nu pot participa Organizatorii și alte persoane implicate în organizarea și desfășurarea concursului. Participarea la acest concurs are valoare de acceptare integrală și liber consimțită a prevederilor prezentului Regulament.

Dreptul de participare aparține în exclusivitate persoanei care îndeplinește condițiile impuse de Regulament.

ART. 4. MECANISMUL ȘI DESFĂȘURAREA CONCURSULUI

Concursul se desfășoară după cum urmează:

– În perioada 11 iulie-16 iulie 2017 (până la orele 14:00), participanții trebuie să posteze pe pagina personală de Instagram, către audiența generală (« public »), un material video creat cu ajutorul aplicației Boomerang al Instagram (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.instagram.boomerang&hl=ro), care să îi reprezinte pe ei sau pe prietenii lor realizând o acțiune eco, alături de hashtag-urile #ECZeroWaste, #ElectricKingdom, împreună cu tag-ul @mainoi_ngo.

– În data de 16 iulie (până la ora 18:00), juriul va desemna câștigătorii;

– Organizatorul verifică dacă participantul declarat câștigător a îndeplinit regulile de concurs;

– În data de 16 iulie (până la ora 22:00), Organizatorul îl va anunța pe câștigător, prin intermediul mesageriei Instagram, că a câștigat competiția.

ART. 5. DESEMNAREA CÂȘTIGĂTORILOR

Desemnarea câștigătorului va fi făcută prin decizia unui juriu format din reprezentanti ai Organizatorului. Juriul va premia cele mai creative postări (video + text).

ART. 6. PREMII

Premiul I constă intr-un solar backpack

ART. 7. ACORDAREA PREMIILOR

Câștigătorul va fi anunțat în data de 16 iulie 2017 de către Organizator prin intermediul mesageriei personale de pe www.instagram.com și public pe paginile oficiale https://www.instagram.com/mainoi_ngo/?hl=ro și http://www.facebook.com/MaiNoiCreatives. Câștigătorul are obligația de a furniza datele de contact: nume, prenume, data nașterii, serie și număr de buletin, până în data de 17 iulie 2017, ora 10:00 pentru a i se confirma câștigarea concursului.

Prin înscrierea în concurs, câștigătorul își dă acordul să:

– furnizeze datele de contact reale (nume, prenume, vârstă, localitate, adresă de e-mail, număr de telefon) Organizatorului via mesageria Instagram pe pagina de Instagram a Organizatorului, pâna la data de 17 iulie 2017, orele 10:00. În caz contrar, este descalificat și înlocuit de rezerve.

Organizatorii nu-și asumă responsabilitatea pentru nerespectarea acestor termene. Premiile vor fi oferite în cadrul evenimentului Electric Castle Festival, la zona ECO, din data de 16 iulie, interval orar 16:00-18:00 (câștigătorul va fi anunțat in legatura cu ora exactă). Exista posibilitatea trimiterii premiului prin curier, taxele de transport fiind suportate de câștigător.

ART. 9. ALTERNATIVE ALE PREMIILOR

Câștigătorul premiului nu poate opta pentru primirea contravalorii premiului în bani sau în alte obiecte și nici nu poate solicita alte modificări.

Art. 10. REGULAMENTUL CONCURSULUI

Regulamentul de participare / desfășurare este disponibil oricărui solicitant pe: http://www.mainoi.ro.

Art. 11. DIVERSE

Organizatorul își rezervă dreptul de a modifica datele și durata Concursului și va face public acest lucru pe website www.mainoi.ro. Contestațiile se depun în scris, în termen de 7 zile lucrătoare de la data încheierii Concursului la sediul Organizatorului.
